Dr Gail Busby has been a consultant gynaecologist for 16 years and a doctor for 29 years. She qualified in Trinidad in 2006. She then underwent specialist training in the Northwest of England and obtained her Membership of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 2002

She is a lifespan gynaecologist, seeing patients of all ages from birth through to the menopause. Her special interest is Paediatric and Adolescent Gynaecology and she started, and still leads, the tertiary referral service in Manchester for Paediatric and Adolescent Gynaecology.

She has a keen interest in education and holds a PGC in medical education. She is also committed to patient education and hosts a health podcast entitled ‘I forgot to ask the doctor’, aimed at educating patients about health conditions across the spectrum of medicine. She recently founded the Gynaecology Health Network with the aim of educating, supporting and empowering doctors who work in gynaecology.
